Speaking to PointBlank News Blog, the former Minister stated that the proclamation of executive orders within a democratic setting is a method by which the executive exercises legislative powers to deal with urgent issues either of public health, state security or any other government processes that would require the intervention of a direct legislation to deal with it, such in the case of Plateau State being the gross congestion and multifold shanties within the Jos metropolis. However, the enforcement of the Executive Order 003 in the Jos city of Plateau State turned into an outburst of revolt and rebellion within the Bukuru Market, as opposed to the compliance in Terminus.

Conclusively, the former Minister cum Human Rights activist suggested that the security agencies and the government take the situation more seriously than just reducing it to mere acts of rioting by violent protesters, causing a breach in social tranquility and peaceful coexistence within the Bukuru settlement.
