Dr. Felix Bitrus Masok, the Dean of Students Affairs, Plateau State University Bokkos, has made history by emerging the First Winner of the POINTBLANK NEWS BLOG EXCEPTIONAL PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK following his exceptional bravery, selflessness and dedication in providing exceptional leadership to the safety and well-being of the university students during a bloody attack by unknown gunmen on Chikam community, the school’s host community.
POINTBLANK NEWS BLOG EXCEPTIONAL PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK is an initiative of the media blog to recognize and acknowledge personalities that distinguished themselves in any field of endeavour or exhibit uncommon service to humanity on a weekly basis. The incident, which occurred on the Friday night, 19th April, 2024 sent tremors through the university community and left many students and staff members in a state of fear and uncertainty with a 200L Computer Science student, Dading James dead and several others injured.
While the barbaric attack lasted, Dr. Masok swiftly sprang into action, putting himself in harm’s way to ensure the safety of the students. His quick thinking and decisive actions helped to prevent a potentially bloody situation from escalating further, and his bravery in the face of danger undoubtedly saved so many lives.
As the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Masok plays a crucial role in the lives of the students at Plateau State University Bokkos. His actions during the attack demonstrate his deep commitment to the well-being and security of the students under his care, and his bravery in the face of danger has earned him the respect and admiration of Pointblank News Blog, and deservedly, he is awarded the First Ever Winner Of This Award.
