The All Progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Plateau State in the last general elections, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has expressed deep sadness and depression following the death of the State’s All Progressives Congress APC Publicity Secretary in Pankshin on Saturday evening.
In a message on his verified “X” handle (formerly known as Twitter), Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe said “I am saddened and deeply depressed by the gruesome murder of the Plateau State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Sylvannus Namang.”
The former INEC Commissioner expressed grave concern that “more disturbing is the fact that this is coming on the heels of many threats he received that were duly reported to the security agencies”.
“This calls for the security agencies to properly investigate and arrest the perpetrators of this dastard act. In addition, the harrowing state of security in our state calls for the state and the security of agencies to synergize to protect the lives and property of our citizens” he said.
He extended his deepest condolences and sympathies to the deceased family, APC and his friends “I extend my deepest condolences to the Namang family, the APC members, and all those who are grieved and affected by this incident”.
“I pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of our departed brother and ask God to comfort Plateau state at this moment of unbearable pain” he concluded
