Governor Godwin Obasaki backed candidate, Asue Ighodalo has beaten nine other aspirants to emerge the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State.
A lawyer and investment banker, Asue Ighodalo defeated other aspirants in a peaceful but security-tight primary election at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
