Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang led administration to transform Plateau State is unquestionably becoming evident with the completion of numerous projects across various sectors in the State. With an unwavering believe that “Health is Wealth”, and consistent with his campaign promise to make healthcare accessible to all for a healthy human resources, Gov Mutfwang has inaugurated two General Hospitals in Kanke and Langtang South LGAs.
Performing the inauguration on behalf of Gov. Mutfwang, the State Commissioner of Health, Hon. Dr. Shurkuk Cletus Bako was accompanied on the historic occasion by the Chief Medical Director of Plateau State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Benjamin Sumi Nyango, the Director-General of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare and Management Agency (PLASCHEMA), Dr. Agabus Nanfwang Manasseh, the Chairmen of Kanke and Langtang South LGAs Transition and Implementation Committee, Hon. Caleb Shikir and Hon Manji Ponga Dangfa respectively.
Reiterating Gov. Mutfwang’s commitment to healthcare, Dr. Bako said “the commencement of this General Hospital will significantly address the healthcare needs of the Local Government, ensure a healthier and more prosperous future for the people”. The Commissioner charges the benefitting communities to “take care of these facilities with utmost care and staff must be committed to their duties. His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang is committed to delivering the best healthcare services to the people of Plateau that was why he equipped the hospitals with modern facilities and quality consummables”.

In their separate remarks, Transition Implementation Chairman of Langtang South, Hon Manji Ponga Dangfa expressed the people’s gratitude to the governor, saying that Langtang South for the first time in history, have an operational General Hospital. She pledged her administration’s resolve to support the hospital for optimal performance.
On his part, the Chairman of Kanke, Hon Caleb Shikir demonstrated that just as governor Caleb, he is Hon Caleb that talks and does too. He instantly donated a “Power Generating Set to ensure uninterrupted power supply and enable the hospital to function seamlessly”. He assured of the accountability of all the equipment and promised to set up a taskforce to closely monitor every vehicular movement in and out of the facility.
