As part of his administration’s policy thrust to ensure adequate food security, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has visited Bennie Agro Processing Unit located in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The inspection is part of Governor Mutfwang’s drive to guarantee food availability, access, utilization and stability. Bennie Agro is into local production of agricultural machines.
In a statement on Saturday, 17th February, 2024, signed by Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA) to the governor, Barr Mutfwang who was accompanied by his team was guided round the tour of the facility by Mallo Jerry Isaac, the Chief Executive Officer of the company.
According to Bere “the company showcased a variety of farm equipment, food processors and automobiles, including tractors, irrigation systems and feeders. Mallo highlighted the organization’s strengths, which include innovative farming solutions, skilled engineers and a commitment to youth development and economic growth”
The DOPPA continued that “Governor Mutfwang commended Mallo’s innovation and encouraged him to pursue the vision of global expansion. He reiterated his support for local manufacturers, as part of deliberate measures to bolster the Plateau State economy”.

The governor had in the past procured and distributed fertilizers and improved seedlings to farmers across the state.
