Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya Kwande Praises H.E Silas Agara’s Generosity To Clubs On The Plateau

His Excellency, Silas Agara, the CEO of Nationwide League One (NLO) and Director General, National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has been publicly lauded to the high heavens by the Chairman of the Plateau State Football Association (PFA), Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, for his magnanimous gesture of donating match balls and other equipment to Nationwide League One and League Two Clubs on the Plateau.

Hon Dr Kwande in an exclusive chat with www.pointblank.com.ng Sports Editor in the Association’s newly renovated office by his administration in Jos, the state’s capital on Friday 2nd August, 2024 immediately after handing over the balls and equipment to the benefitting teams described H.E Agara, the former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State as “an epitome of grassroots talents development”

Kwande said “the donation of match balls and equipment is a significant booster for grassroots football. The two term House of Representatives member added that “when clubs are furnished with the necessary tools to train and play, it enables a more structured development pathway for players”.

The former NFF Board member whose eight months reign at the helms of football affairs on the Plateau has witnessed tremendous transformation both on and off the pitch continued that Agara’s benevolence “will lead to the restoration of the state’s status as the fountain of football talents in the country and equally an increased interest in the sport, improve competitive standards, and potentially result in the emergence of professional quality players who may go on to represent the state and country on larger stages”

The distribution ceremony was a festival of hope and brought a fresh wave of excitement and anticipation to the teams. As Yahaya-Kwande handed out the equipment, Agara’s efforts reflected in the beaming smiles of eager young footballers, now fully equipped to chase their dreams with renewed energy.

The hope and expectation are that the precedent set by Silas Agara will inspire others to follow, ensuring a bright future for football on the Plateau and beyond.
