The Management of Plateau State University, Bokkos led by Prof Shedrach Gaya Best has reduced the fine imposed on students from #7,000 to #6,000. This follows a meeting between the Management and leadership of Students Union Government (SUG) and National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS) on Wednesday, 01 May 2024
In an exclusive confirmation to Pointblank News Blog, Dr Felix Bitrus Masok, Dean Student Affairs said:
“Following a successful meeting of SUG and NAPSS with management today 1st May, 2024.
“Management have considered the plea from Union leaders and approved a downward review of the riot fee to #6,000
“However, those who have already paid the earlier prescribed amount will be refunded the difference.”
The fine was imposed on the students following an aftermath riot that greeted the death of a 200L student, Dading James as a result of attack on Chikam Community, a settlement ner the school where most students reside
