Dr. Jemchang Yildam Fabong brings almost 20 years of experience as a healthcare expert and leader with extensive experience in health financing, policy development, and healthcare management. Most recently, he served as the Director of Health Financing at USAIDโs Integrated Health Program in Nigeria, where he supports health financing reforms and technical assistance for national and state-level health initiatives. Previously, he was the founding Director-General of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, where he implemented health insurance and financing strategies and coordinated the Universal Health Coverage Programme at the Agency and the State Ministry of Health. Dr. Fabong is also a consultant family physician, academic board member, and community mobiliser with a history of impactful roles in public and private healthcare settings.

Dr. Fabong holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics Nutrition from the School of Medicine at Boston University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Jos. He has completed several certificate courses on related subjects and authored over a dozen journal articles. He holds several leadership roles in his community, including Chairman of Plateau State Youth Council.
