The much anticipated 2023 Governor’s Cup Final between Team Jos North and Team Mangu slated for Mangu Mini Stadium has been shifted from Thursday 11th April, 2023 to Sunday, 14th April, 2024.
According to Pointblank News Blog, the shift became necessary to allow His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State who is the Donor of the Cup to attend personally
His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang who is impressed with the excellent strides made by the current board will be cutting short official engagements outside the state to return to Mangu Mini Stadium to lead the celebration of return of peace using football as being championed by the Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya Kwande’s led board
In a statement signed by the Football Association Secretary, Pastor Isa Tongtep Mohammed, on Wednesday, 10th April, 2024, it said the shift became necessary to allow the donor of the trophy, His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State to attend the final in person.
