An International Freedom Fighter and Human Rights Activist, Comrade T. N Timkat has showered encomiums on His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State for his all round unbeatable giant strides in changing the face of infrastructural development of the state and redefining leadership
In a press release on Sunday, 17th March, 2024 signed by the Comrade, titled “LETTER OF COMMENDATION”, and made exclusively available to www.pointblank.com.ng, the fearless Comrade said “We are grateful to God Almighty for His sufficient grace upon the good people of Plateau State as we are enjoying relative peace under your administration as Executive Governor of Plateau State”
He was also full of praise “for massive roads rehabilitation, relative peace restoration, recall of sacked newly employed civil servants, improvement of transport system and ongoing recruitment in the State owned Tertiary Institutions”.
Dwelling specifically on Mutfwang’s Administration Exploits in Road infrastructure, Timkat continued that “We are grateful also for your giant steps taken by rehabilitation of roads within Jos and Bukuru Metropolitan areas of Plateau State, your efforts so far in rehabilitating some of the liquidated roads within Jos and environs is evidently clear and we are convinced that you mean business of transforming Plateau State to stand the taste of modern city worldwide”
Recounting his excitement with nostalgia, he said “as I walked through the city of Jos, I was amazed with the ongoing roads rehabilitation across all areas. Recently, you have touched the road behind Aliu Makama starting from ECWA Headquarters down to Dogon Karfe. This is laudable project as it provides alternative access road whenever the main road linking Terminus is blocked”. Continuing, “also the roads linking Masalachi Juma’a, down to Angwan Rogo, to Rwang Pam Street were massively rehabilited by your humble self”.
“His Excellency has put new faces to roads linking Central Bank to COCIN Headquarters down to Hill Station. You are currently repairing the road linking Building Materials down to Sabon Barkin to Bukuru Low-cost. This is a highly commendable effort considering the fact that you haven’t clocked one year in office”
“What amazed me much is the quality standard of the roads you are rehabilitating. You have indeed endeared yourself to the people of Plateau”.
He employed the governor to, kindly awaken his “Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen to compliment same gestures in their various Local Government Areas. This is only way we can collectively build Plateau State together”.
He singled out the TIC of Shendam for praise “I must comment the effort of one among your Transition Chairmen, Hon Kemi Nshe of Shendam. He has been rehabilitating some roads in the local government area since his assumption of office. We expect Other Chairmen should emulate same”.
On job creations, he submitted that His Excellency “has embarked on job creation to employ more citizens into government Ministries and Agencies. You equally absorbed those employed by past administration back to service. This is laudable and demonstration of magnanimity in your people oriented leadership”.
He predicted a glorious Plateau should the governor maintain this current tempo of achievement throughout his first four years in office.
Comrade Timkat also humbly appealed to governor Mutfwang to give attention to inter Local roads. By so doing, the governor must have improved the general socioeconomic status of the state.
“Remember there are other major projects that need attention too your Excellency. Bringing back Jos Inland Port to live is another important project to consider. Rebuilding Terminus Market is of high priority. The need to reconstruct major road connecting almost all local government areas in the state, that’s the road from Mararaba Jama’a to Barkin Ladi to Mangu to Pankshin down to Kanke to Langtang North to South -Shendam connecting Taraba State should be considered.These are some of the projects that when executed will improve revenue generation in Plateau State and make Plateau great”.
