His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah around the world as they celebrate 2024 Eid-el-Kabir. The message posted on the governor’s social media handles, on Sunday, 16 June, 2024, it reads thus:
“I join other well-wishers around the world in celebrating the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir with the Muslim Ummah in Plateau State and beyond.
“I heartily rejoice with the Muslim Ummah on this unique occasion, which reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice and total submission to the will of God Almighty. As we celebrate this event, I encourage all of us to take time to reflect on the values of love, charity, and selflessness and work towards building a more united and peaceful Plateau State.
“There is a huge significance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration. It provides the Muslim Ummah with a great opportunity to invoke God’s blessings on Nigerian leaders as we strive to provide the qualitative leadership desired by citizens.
“I reiterate my administration’s commitment to guiding, guarding, and protecting all citizens, as well as catering to their welfare. My government has supported the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board adequately to ensure the 2024 Hajj proceeds smoothly.
“I advise the beneficiaries of the 2024 Hajj to pray for the peace and unity of Plateau and the country, urging them to be good ambassadors of the state and to anticipate safe return.
“I further urge citizens to abide by the law and respect government policies aimed at restructuring the state to create a conducive business atmosphere for citizens to pursue their dreams without hindrance.
“I reassure you of my administration’s commitment to addressing the current hardships, particularly those faced by the masses, and I assure them of my dedication to securing lives and property.
