Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State will on Monday, October 28, 2024 declare open a 4-day National conference of National Council on Women Affairs in Jos the state’s capital. The conference with the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda: Promoting Women Economic Empowerment, Health, Education and Justice for Global Competitiveness and Relevance” is scheduled for 28th – 31st October, 2024 at Center La-Sharp, No. 6, Gut Road, Off Rayfield, Jos
According to www.pointblank.com.ng, Gov Mutfwang shall be welcoming the Wife of the President, Sen Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, all 36 Commissioners of Women Affairs of the Federation, Permanent Secretaries, Directors, Development Partners and Civil Societies Organizations
The 24th Regular National Conference has Day 1 and 2 strictly for technical sessions for Permanent Secretaries, Directors, CSOs and development partners to review the last session and development new policies. The Minister of Women Affairs is to hold a press conference on Day 3 while a dinner with development partners is also scheduled for that day. Day 4 will have politicians for adoption of communique.
The conference shall avail the National Council the opportunity to share experiences, review progress, formulate policies, and harmonize strategies to advance the cause of women, children, and vulnerable populations.
Plateau State contingents to the conference shall be led by the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon Caroline Panglang Dafur
