Gov Mutfwang To Launch The Revitalized Train Services On Monday, 20th May, 2024 – Hon Jatau

Baring any unforeseen circumstances, His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State will be commissioning the revitalized transport system in the state before the month of May runs out. Hon Davou Gyang Jatau stated this on Wednesday, 15th May, 2024 while interacting with Plateau stakeholders on the famous Interactive Session of Pointblank News Blog

Speaking as the 19th Guest on the program that strives to hold leaders accountable for their stewardship while arousing the followership to their sense of responsibility, Hon Jatau said “we ought to have commenced train services operations long ago but I assure you by the grace of God, we have concluded almost every arrangements to have this train run on a commercial skill. Our target has been 20th of this month, lest for any last minute change, I am sure we are still looking at 20th May, 2024 for the commissioning”

Hon. Jatau’s said the government recognizes the importance of a robust rail system and its potential to transform the state’s transportation landscape. “Railways, with their ability to haul large volumes of passengers and goods, reduce the strain on road networks, thereby lessening traffic congestion and improving transportation efficiency”

Emphasizing the importance of rail transport system that The Time Is Now Mantra prioritizes under the leadership of Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the fluent speaking Commissioner while listing the advantages of the transport system said “crucial benefit of revitalizing the rail transport system is the potential improvement in the quality of life for the citizens. A well-functioning railway network can ease daily commutes, reduce travel time, and provide a safer means of transportation”.

In the words of Hon. Jatau, the revitalized rail system would “offer comfort and reliability, making it an appealing option for daily commuters and encouraging the use of public transport over private vehicles. The reduced reliance on private vehicles could also lead to improved air quality and reduced noise pollution in urban areas”.

Transport sector is one sector the Mutfwang’s administration has deliberately paid attention to with the view to reducing the hike in the cost of transportation caused by the removal of petrol subsidy by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration
