Hon Jesse Nanden Zwalda, Legislative Aide to Hon Beni Lar in the 10th National Assembly has heartily congratulated Hon Chris A. Hassan and Hon Ventim Tyem aka Black on their appointments as Caretaker Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State and Caretaker Chairman of the PDP in Langtang North LGA respectively
The Former National President TAROSA in a statement on Friday night made available to www.pointblank.com.ng said “your appointments come on the back of years of hard work and unparalleled dedication to the party. The leadership you’ve provided in the party over the past 4 years that culminated in the party dethroning the State’s ruling party have further confirmed your penchant for excellence and your sterling organisational skills”.
The Former member PYC Central Working Committee representing Langtang North, charges the duo saying “you all have extra time to stabilise the party post 2023 general elections and get the party more ready for governance as the party supports HE Caleb Mutfwang in delivering all his campaign promises in accordance to the PDP manifesto during the 2023 general elections”.
The member 2023 State Transition/Inauguration Protocol Committee concluded that “
I am confident that your skills set would be of immense value to the party as it sets it sight on consolidating on its victory in the state and reclaiming the leadershipof the country come 2027. I wish you all the best and pray that Almighty God will grant you the wisdom and strength to navigate the next three months of selfless service to our party”.
It would be recalled that the National Headquarters of the PDP in a statement titled “PDP Appoints Caretaker Committees for State, LG, Ward Chapters” on Friday, 29 March 2024 signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary said “the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) pursuant to the provisions of Section 29 (2) (b) of the Constitution of our Party on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), approved the appointment of the Executives whose tenures have expired in some State, Local Government and Ward chapters to serve as Caretaker Committees in the affected States, LGAs and Wards respectively”.
Hon Ologunagba added that “the Caretaker Committees have been mandated to run the affairs of our Party at their appropriate levels for a period of 3 (three) months as follows:

LGA: March 23, 2024
Ward: March 7, 2024
According to www.pointblank.com.ng, “the NWC states that in situations where vacancies occurred in the respective Excos due to death, defection and/or resignation, no replacement should be effected for such vacancies in the Caretakers Committees.
“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and members of our great Party to continue to work together to ensure the stability, growth and success of our Party in their respective States, Local Government Areas and Wards”.
