Earlier today, the Honorable Commissioner for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Plateau State, Prof. (Assoc) Goselle Obed Nanjul, together with the Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Kacholom Pyam Gang, welcomed a distinguished delegation of the National Executives of the University of Jos Alumni Association on a courtesy visit to their offices.
The delegation, led by the National President, Pst. Nuhu Sani Johnson, visited to officially congratulate the two commissioners on their well-deserved appointments to the Plateau State Executive Council. They also commended the exceptional leadership and significant progress recorded in their respective ministries and implored them to continue to be committed to their duties. They further requested that as worthy ambassadors, they should always remember the Motto of the University of Jos, which is “Discipline and Dedication” to serve as fulcrum to the delivery of the governor’s mandate for a greater Plateau State.
“We are here to officially congratulate you and recognize your efforts in revitalizing your ministries. His Excellency’s choice in appointing you signifies his recognition of your excellence. Your competences and capacities are evident, and we want to express our joy that ‘Josites’ are truly proud of you all”….. stated Pst. Nuhu Sani Johnson.
Responding separately, Prof. (Assoc) Goselle Obed Nanjul expressed his gratitude to the Alumni Association’s leadership and pledged to actively participate in alumni activities and to support the association in all ramifications. He emphasized that it is an honour to give back to the community that shaped and developed him. Goselle advised that it is time that a comprehensive database of Jossites all over the world be put together for easy dissemination of information on the activities of Alumni office.
The highlight of the visit was the decoration of the two commissioners as worthy ambassadors of the Alumni Association by the President.
