Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, Chairman Plateau State Football Association confirmed to Pointblank News Blog in a message on Friday evening that “I just got the confirmation that His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang shall be present at this Federation Cup Final tomorrow and shall be performing the Kick off for us”

The towering governor whose intention of positively impacting the state has never been in doubt shall be breaking an almost 30 year record of a sitting governor watching the Federation Cup if he truly appears to watch the final.

Hon Kwande who has been leveraging on the charm and unifying power of football as a building block for peaceful coexistence in a state marred by ethnic and religious conflicts credited his tremendous achievements in his 5 months old Board to Governor Mutfwang.

He said “from the PFA Electioneering period to now, the governor has clearly demonstrated his commitment to utilizing football as a veritable tool to bring peace, empower people and return Plateau State to the zenith of football comity in Nigeria. We are most fortunate to have come on board together with a governor that is not passionate about football but someone who knows football deeply. He has been a great pillar of support and we shall continue to work hard to ensure that football on the Plateau complements the TIME IS NOW mantra”

 In a record breaking display of administrative competence, the Female Final which has been relegated to the history bins for over 15 years shall be again come alive as Plateau United Queens seek to place their hands on the coveted trophy when they confront their derby rivals, Mighty Jets Mata by 2;00pm.

En route the final, Mighty Jets International white washed their Feeder team 4 nil while Plateau United were made to breathe through their noses by a confident Ben Akwubegbu side in the semi final.United could only manage to musle a 1 nil victory over their opponents who at a point were found lacking in experience when it was needed most
