Rt Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, Deputy Speaker of the 9th Assembly has extolled the towering virtues of Late Alhaji Sunusi Muhammed Baba Tela, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Wase LGA who passed away on Friday, 17th May, 2024
Rt Hon Wase in a poignant mood while leading his colleagues including member representing Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, Hon Prince Vincent Venman Bulus and Member representing Mikang/Shendam/Qua’anpan Federal Constituency, Hon John M. Dafa’an and his army of political associates, said though death is inevitable, the passing of the former party Chairman at the time his wise counsels are mostly needed to rebuild the party and the nation at large is quite unfortunate. He however submitted to the will of the almighty Allah and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased
Wase said the only befitting tribute to the deceased is for both leaders and citizens to uphold the ideals championed by Tela, ensuring the values he stood for continue to guide the nation towards unity, prosperity and justice
Rt Hon Wase who represents the face of reliable and responsible representation in Plateau and indeed Nigeria at large, said “the benchmark set by Alhaji Sunusi Muhammed Baba Tela serves as a directive for current and future leaders, and we must continue the deceased’s work in promoting cohesive development and transparency within governance. I am emphasizing on continuation because it is crucial for the sustenance of the values that Tela espoused throughout his life”
