A critical stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Plateau State Comrade Jesse Nanden Zwalda has enjoined the party to tow the path of caution even as a ruling party to avoid the banana slipping peels

The Legislative Aide to Honourable Beni Butmak Lar (the political fulcrum of Plateau State) cautioned that for the party to consolidate on its strength and avoid the pitfall that saw the opposition party, APC transform from a ruling party to an opposition party in the State, he said “PDP members should be ready and willing to accept new members into the party going forward. Our leaders must work as a team for more and better results”.

The alumnus of the African Center for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Center LSD) appealed to the party to be rather sober and magnanimous in victory instead of the “winner takes all” mentality that’s threatening to raise it’s ugly head in the party.

Speaking exclusively to www.pointblank.com.ng, “This is a moment of sober reflection for us as a political party on the Plateau” Comrade Zwalda continued that the party must not take the people for granted without expecting a black lash especially from those members that were recently pronounced as members elect by the Court of Appeal. Zwalda said “Late President Yaradua was rigged into power but he became one of the most celebrated presidents we have since the return of democracy in 1999”.

“That’s to say, we shouldn’t relax and take the masses for granted as they sympathize with our party over the appeal court miscarriage of justice and the sack of our elected members because change is inevitable. The “Moneycar” members may win the hearts of the masses with time if they decide to provide transformational leadership within three years” warned the Youth leader

Hon Chris A. Hassan, PDP Chairman Plateau State

He called for genuine reconciliation, unity of purpose and team work amongst party members for the party to continue to stamp it’s authority on the political landscape of the state. “What we must do differently to stay in the hearts of the people as a political party is to first forgive ourselves as a party, be united and restrategize going forward”

Comrade Zwalda issued a clarion call to the party “to cash in on the political credit the administration of His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang is giving the party”

He showered encomiums on the governor for justifying the confidence reposed in him by his people oriented policies and legacies in just under a year”. He prayed God Almighty to guide the governor and the party to”all finish strong “
